Terms of Service

Overview

This website is operated by Louise Meddar. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Louise Meddar.

These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from us. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable UK law.

1. About Us

Louise Meddar is a UK-based fashion and accessories business.

If you have any questions about these Terms or an order, please contact us at:

Email: LouiseMeddar@gmail.com

Further business and contact information is available on our Contact page.

2. Using Our Website

You may use our website for lawful purposes only.

You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious software, interfere with its operation, or use it in a way that infringes the rights of Louise Meddar or any third party.

We reserve the right to restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance or legal reasons.

3. Products

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, colours, dimensions and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, device and display settings. As many of our products involve natural materials and manufacturing processes, minor variations may also occur.

Such variations do not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to your legal rights.

4. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product or products.

You will receive an order acknowledgement after placing your order. A contract between you and Louise Meddar is formed when we accept your order.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;

  • payment cannot be authorised;

  • there has been an obvious pricing or product-description error;

  • we cannot deliver to the address provided; or

  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity.

If payment has already been taken for an order that we cannot fulfil, we will issue the appropriate refund.

5. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£) unless otherwise stated.

Where applicable, prices include VAT.

Any delivery charges will be clearly displayed during checkout before you place your order.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

6. Delivery

We will deliver your order to the delivery address supplied during checkout.

Any delivery dates or times provided are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. If a significant delay occurs, we will contact you where appropriate and explain the options available to you.

For consumer orders, responsibility for the goods generally passes to you when the goods come into your physical possession or the possession of a person you have identified to receive them, subject to applicable law.

Please see our Shipping Policy for further information.

7. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Your rights to cancel, return or obtain a refund are set out in our Refund Policy.

Nothing in our Refund Policy or these Terms limits your statutory rights, including your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.

Please review our Refund Policy before making a purchase.

8. Intellectual Property

The content of this website, including our branding, logos, photographs, product imagery, written content, graphics and website design, is owned by or licensed to Louise Meddar unless otherwise stated.

You may access and use the website for your personal, non-commercial use.

You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, commercially exploit or otherwise use our content without our prior permission, except where permitted by law.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use services provided by third parties, including payment, ecommerce, analytics and other technology providers.

We are not responsible for the content or practices of independent third-party websites.

Louise Meddar's online store is powered by Shopify. Purchases made from this store are transactions between you and Louise Meddar, not Shopify.

10. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data-protection law.

Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use and protect personal information and the third parties with whom information may be shared.

11. Our Responsibility to You

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

Nothing in these Terms affects the legal rights available to you as a consumer.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses arising from purchases made wholly or mainly for personal use, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

12. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be responsible for a failure or delay in performing our obligations where this results from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where such circumstances materially affect an order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and contact you where appropriate.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, including to reflect changes to our business, website or applicable law.

The Terms applying to an order will generally be those in force when that order was placed, subject to any changes required by law.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you will also retain the benefit of any mandatory protections available to you under the laws applicable where you live.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising any rights regarding where legal proceedings may be brought that are available under applicable law.
